Preparation

When deciding on clothing for a portraiture sitting we suggest that you avoid fussy patterns and logos. Simple clothing is usually best but wear something in which you feel comfortable.

With family groups photos try to involve everyone in your choice of colours. Pastel shades are usually easier to co-ordinate than bold colours. If in doubt you are welcome to call or visit the studio to discuss your ideas with the photographer.

Children do not usually respond well when told to smile. Making light of their visit can make them more relaxed and a sense of fun in the studio will always help.

The portait sitting

We do not limit the number of images we take so there is no need to worry about bad expressions, you need only order photographs that you really like.

We have a choice of backgrounds. Decide beforehand if you would like your portrait sitting to be formal or in a more relaxed style so that we may prepare the studio for your arrival. For home and location visits please call to discuss.

Previewing the Results

Within a few days your portraits will be avlable for viewing in the studio where you may choose the best images from your sitting. Cutting edge software will allow you to design contemporary multi-aperture frames or simply order prints in folders.

Before viewing, consider in which rooms you wish to display any framed portraits and imagine the style which would best compliment your home.

We recommend that when possible you do not bring young children as they tend to become restless during the viewing.
